Hello there! My name is John. If you found this page you may know me. On this page, I hope to tell you more about me, what I do, things that interest me, projects I’ve worked on and redirects to projects I’m continuing to work on.

Many of you know me from my day job as a Massage Therapist at The Salt Lounge. Others may know me from my past work with the Berks County Conservancy (now rebranded as Berks Nature).

Another big, well overwhelming huge project I’ve been working on has been my family tree. My late grandfather, also John, left behind several thousand photos dating to like the 1870’s. I guess I paid attention as a kid as I can name a majority of my ancestors in the photos or recite stories of the places pictured. There are also documents and local histories that Pop Pop collected. I’ve reviewed scanned and digitized the photos and docs and in the process discovered I’m related directly or distantly to many families in the area and historical events that are recorded in local history.

So what do I do with all this stuff??? I could purge it, save a few keepsakes, and ship the rest off to an auction or the dump. (So many people do this and it make me sick!!) Or…. I could run with some ideas I’ve had stuck in my head since my days at the Berks County Conservancy, where I digitized and attempted to organize local historical records.
